Nicolas's passion for the wild constantly involved him with endangered species
conservation.
His first
conservation involvement was with endangered Marine Turtle conservation in the island
of Sri Lanka.
This involved the collection of turtle eggs from unprotected poached beaches, keeping
them incubated in near natural conditions until the eggs hatched and then the turtles
released to sea.
Assisting with Red Panda reproductive research at the London Zoo was the next conservation
project, where he helped analyze and test reproductive hormone patterns and behaviors
Heading to Australia, Nicolas assisted in sustainable development projects in the
Murray-Darling river area with WWF – Australia.
